June of 2011 was when we started prep work for my new Pottery Kiln. The Kiln came as a kit, consisting of over 800 bricks, gas burners, and framing that will allow me to get up to cone 10 (2400 f) reduction firing.

Before we could begin build­ing, we had to clear 4 trees off our woods to safely fire the kiln. We also poured concrete for a pad, and had a metal struc­ture installed. The blue frame in the picture came with the kiln kit, and as you will see will become the kiln.
