June of 2011 was when we started prep work for my new Pottery Kiln. The Kiln came as a kit, consisting of over 800 bricks, gas burners, and framing that will allow me to get up to cone 10 (2400 f) reduction firing.

Before we could begin building, we had to clear 4 trees off our woods to safely fire the kiln. We also poured concrete for a pad, and had a metal structure installed. The blue frame in the picture came with the kiln kit, and as you will see will become the kiln.
