Whether you’re new to watercolor or have been painting for a while, join Shesna for an hour and a half of creative, hands-on watercolor fun. This class’s theme, “Oregon Wildflowers,” will guide you through painting a beautiful landscape and expressive, imaginative native flowers. This class encourages students to connect with their inner creativity while sharing a few laughs in a welcoming, laid-back environment. All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This class is perfect for the absolute beginner. No prior dance experience needed. Class begins with a quick dance conditioning workout on the mat. Then we’ll drill beginning bellydance isolations and traveling steps that will strengthen your core, sculpt your arms, and improve your posture. All set to a bumping beat.

Bellydance Fusion Fridays

All levels are welcome! No dance experience necessary. In fusion style, we remix and transform traditional elements of bellydance in new and interesting ways. We start class with a combination of yoga, active flexibility, and pilates to warm up and condition the body for dance. Then we drill basic bellydance movements that link together into a fun sequence. We also explore beginner friendly group improv. Shimmy your stress away, let your creativity shine, and connect with friends through dance!

An ancient Martial Art often described as meditation in motion. The exercise involves slow graceful movements. It is beneficial for stress reduction, mental clarity, strengthened immune system, and overall better health and happiness.
Mark Scott has been a practitioner for the past 20 years. He has taught various groups of people while working as a therapist with adult substance abusers. "My job was often quite stressful and challenging. Practicing Tai Chi helped me to calm down after work and to avoid compassion burnout that often hits colleagues in the helping field."

Aikido is a Japanese martial art and system of self-defense that uses circular movements to blend with and redirect an opponent’s energy. Training includes learning how to move effectively in a martial context, avoid strikes, take and regain balance, work with multiple attackers, and safely handle weapon scenarios. Practice develops strong core engagement, balance, leg strength, and overall flexibility. Forest Grove Aikido classes are open to everyone, and you’re welcome to observe a class to see our Birankai style in action.

This class is for people who want to work out but have something to be careful of or Maybe it has just been a while since you have exercised and you are feeling stiff and achy. This class is designed to help you feel better through stretching and exercise. We use many forms of movement to accomplish this such as yoga, Tai Chi, silver & fit, physical therapy and chair exercise. We use hand weights, and exercise bands and yoga mats. You will learn how to modify exercises to suit your needs while working your whole body. Our objectives, do no harm and help people feel better through creative movement.
