Bellydance Fusion Fridays

All levels are welcome! No dance experience necessary. In fusion style, we remix and transform traditional elements of bellydance in new and interesting ways. We start class with a combination of yoga, active flexibility, and pilates to warm up and condition the body for dance. Then we drill basic bellydance movements that link together into a fun sequence. We also explore beginner friendly group improv. Shimmy your stress away, let your creativity shine, and connect with friends through dance!

Mark Scott has been a practitioner for the past 20 years. He has taught various groups of people while working as a therapist with adult substance abusers. This class is for people who want to work out but have something to be careful of or Maybe it has just been a while since you have exercised and you are feeling stiff and achy. This class is designed to help you feel better through stretching and exercise. We use many forms of movement to accomplish this such as yoga, Tai Chi, silver & fit, physical therapy and chair exercise. We use hand weights, and exercise bands and yoga mats. You will learn how to modify exercises to suite your needs while working your whole body. Our objectives, do no harm and help people feel better through creative movement.
